This page explains what data Kontentor handles. Controller: Emporiant e.U., Graz, Austria (see Impressum).

Your videos

Videos are opened, edited and exported in your browser. They are not uploaded to our servers.

Automatic captions and hook ideas

When you press Auto-transcribe, the audio track of your video is sent through our server to a speech-to-text provider, and the result is returned to you. When you ask for hook ideas, your topic text is sent to a language-model provider. We do not store the audio or the text after the request is finished. We store only a count of requests per month to apply plan limits. The providers are chosen by the operator; ask at office@emporiant.com for the current list.

Account data

• Email address and a salted password hash, to sign you in (contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• Saved projects: text, colors and timing. They do not contain your video.
• Plan status and the Stripe customer reference, when you subscribe.
• Technical logs such as IP address and time of requests, kept for security and rate limiting (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f)).

Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. We never see your card number. Stripe acts as an independent controller for payment data.

Cookies and storage

One session cookie keeps you signed in. The studio stores your preferences, such as the Automated or Advanced setting, in your browser. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.

Retention and your rights

Account data is kept while your account exists. You can ask for access, correction, export or deletion at office@emporiant.com. You can also complain to the Austrian Data Protection Authority (dsb.gv.at).
